Walk the Hereward Way to Stamford

A six-mile country trail to Stamford, with the option of a £12 taxi home.

The walk starts from the end of Grange Farm drive by following the public foot path sign.
At the next gate follow the path branching to the right, you'll see Old Tinny on the left.
Follow the path to the next gate. Avoid the boggy ground on the next bit.
Through the gate and continue along the Roman path.
Through another gate to briefly join a gravel road.
Leave the gravel road and continue straight through the gates.
Through two sets of gates and proceed along the side of the road.
Pass the first turning on your left.
An important part: At the second turning, take the public footpath to continue heading straight.
You're back on the Hereward Way, which has yellow painted posts to keep you on track.

Cross the funny little bridge...
Follow the last yellow post which takes you for half a mile along the side of Burghley Golf Course
Turn right as you leave the golf club and follow the road for about three quarters of a mile to Stamford.
