Step-by-Step Guide
Fred's Favorite Walk
A circular route lasting no more than 90 minutes. Starts and finishes at Grange Farm.
Turn left at the end of Grange Farm's driveway...
...hopefully at this stage you won't need the defibulator which you'll pass on your right...
Leave the village by proceeding along the straight tree-lined road.
As you come out from under the trees, take the path that goes through the arches of the red brick bridge.
Continue straight for a few hundred metres.
Look out for a bench made from railway sleepers and follow the path to the left.
Continue along the path which meanders it's way towards the local cricket pitch.
Walk diagonally across the cricket pitch, between the pavilion and a storage shed.
Cross the road and enter "Hills and Holes" via the gate.
Keeping the drystone wall on your left, proceed for about a mile.
After the electric pylon, turn left where the path joins the road.
Continue straight, through a gate that joins a gravel road.
Pass through another gate where the gravel road turns to the left.
Follow the roman path straight to Grange Farm. Have a cup of tea.
